Port St joe marina to Panama City Marina
43 miles today
We got up early and got ready to leave before the wind picked up much. We left the marina at 7:10 went out of the marina and into the bay then west a short distance on the ship channel to the canal that would bring us back up to the ICW.  About 6 miles later we were back on the ICW westbound everything went well there was little traffic and the weather was warm and not windy at all. by11:45 we were at the Downtown Panama City Marina where we had reserved a slip. We had lunch on board then walked into town. When we returned from town I changed the transmission oil, a hot job as it needs to be done while the oil is still hot so it can be pumped out.
The Panama City Marina is nice, good docks and deep water, there is a security guard on duty at night which is good.  Panama City's downtown is a bit run down there are lots of vacancies in the buildings where shopd and restaurants have closed, there still are some good ones left though.
