Pearl Bayou, Panama City - Apalachicola

Everything was peacful on anchorPearl Bayou at  last night, this morning winds are calm very overcast and temp 64. We had the anchor up and were underway at 7:30   We cruised across Panama City's East Bay then along Wetappo Creek. We crossed the time zone into Eastern time at noon so we lost an hour today.  Our final leg was down the Apalachicola river to the town to arrive about 3:30 at Scipio Creek Marina, a nice small family run no frills operation. They have a good restaurant on site, we had some very good oysters for dinner.
I bought fuel on arrival, 130 Gallons of diesel
Stats so far on the trip
Engine hourmeter run time          59 hr
 Distance travelled                    430 miles
fuel burned                               130 Gal
Fuel burned per engine hour    2.20 Gal
Miles per Gallon                      3.31
fuel consumed includes generator use: 22 hrs

We don't top off the fuel tanks to the exact same level each fill so there may be a slight discrepancy between fills.
Weather permitting we will cross the corner of the Gulf to Tarpon Springs tomorrow. It will be a long trip, about 170 miles we'll leave mid afternoon and travel overnight in order to arrive after daybreak, there are many strings of crabtraps and their marker bouys along the coast. You need daylight to see them to hopefully dodging them to avoid tangling one in the prop.
 60 miles today

Sunrise on Pearl bayou

Cruising along Wetappo Creek
Ospreys like to make their nests on the navigation markers, this one used lots of branches and Spanish Moss

Some interesting stumps, along the Apalachicola River, which have resprouted

While we were tied to the marina dock a shrimper passes by our boat headed out Scipio Creek to Apalachicloa Bay
