Tuesday Apalachicola

We spent the day in Apalachicola today did a couple of boat projects then walked to the grocery store for a few things we needed. I filled the water tank as the water here tastes pretty good, some of the places along the coast have sulfur tasting water which is horrible! We have a separate faucet with a pair of canister filters under the kitchen sink which we use for drinking water. The tank capacity is 100 gallons so it can get stale if it isn't being used frequently.
Dinner at a restaurant in town, it was quite good but I believe the marina's restaurant is better.
The plan is to go up to Panama City tomorrow, should be about 60 miles. We'll spend the night at anchor near friends who live aboard their boat on Pitts Bayou just east of P.C.
A shrimp boat heading out, down Scipio Creek

The Marina's dry storage building it looks like it can hold about a hundred boats, it is very busy on the weekends, two large forklifts shuttle the boats
back and forth to the launching area
