Monday, Mid Gulf to Apalachicola

We are still cruising across, the weather is fine, South wind about 5K and easy swells 1 or 2 feet, the water depth out here is right around 100'. The Moon set about 3:30 once it was down the stars were even more visible, a very nice display! I check the engine every 3-4 hours it has been doing fine!  There was a nice sunrise and about 9:15 Am the St George Island near Apalachicola came into sight, there is still a good way to go but it is always nice to see land after a long night!
We reached the "Government Cut" pass into St Vincent Bay around 11:00 AM the wind has picked up a little but just a light chop in here. By noon we were at Scipio Creek marina tied up at the dock.
Total miles Sunday and Monday, 203

We passed by this Air Force tower at sunrise, maybe 25 miles offshore.

Approaching Government Cut St George Is.

On the other side of the bridge is the entrance to Scipio Creek and Apalachicola.
Apalachicola waterfront,
it is in the process of being restored and what they have done so far looks very good.

Gumbo docked at Scipio Creek Marina after a long trip!
