Marina Jack to Galati Marina, Annamaria Is.

We got the boat prepared and left Marina Jack at 9 this morning. The weather was beautiful, with temps in the mid 80s and light winds. The bay waters were calm. We made our way up Sarasota Bay to Annamaria Is. where we pulled into the marina at noon, Galati is also a large Yacht Brokerage firm with offices all along the  Gulf Coast, At their marina here there are quite a few yachts that they have on the market, some very nice ones too.
Annamaria Is. is at the  south end of the mouth of Tampa Bay where it meets the Gulf of Mexico. Our slip here is right next to a Heron nesting area there are lots of birds here nests of all sizes and all kinds of noises from adults and hungry chicks calling for attention.
Our friend Margie picked us up after lunch, we went shopping for ingredients for the Paella we will fix at her house tomorrow, there will be about 10 people there. We spent the afternoon with Margie and Adrian at their house.
 21 miles today

Calm waters on Sarasota Bay as we left Marina Jack

Some of the many sportfishermen at Galati marina, I believe we are the only cruising boat in here.

Dusk from the marina dock.
