Annamaria Is. Paellas

We went to friends Margie and Adrian's today with a few other friends, Susan, Mike, Edwin John who grew up with me on Aguirre Sugar Co. in Puerto Rico, and some other friends of theirs who came by, we were 15 in total. We cooked two Paellas, a couple the folks had seafood allergies so we did one with the usual meats, shrimp, clams, and mussels, and another paella with no seafood. Both were fine and everyone had a good time. Back to the boat at midnight.
We had planned to go to St Petersburg this morning but according to the weather forecast the best time to cross the Gulf to Apalachicola will be tonight, so we'll skip St Petersburg and leave Annamaria Is. about 10:30, if all goes well we will be in Apalachicola mid afternoon tomorrow,Monday.

A Great Blue Heron in the Mangroves right next to our boat, this roost is also used by Egrets and Cormorants

Gumbo in slip Galati Marina

The finished Paella (the one with meat and seafood) ready for serving. The Stone and Blue crabs were caught off Margie and Adrian's dock.
