Tampa Bay bridge, The Sunshine Skyway the previous bridge was hit by a ship in 1980, 32 people were killed when their vehicles fell into the bay.

It was another nice weather day today when we left the anchorage in Little Sarasota Bay at 8:15. Not long after that we passed by Sarasota then Anna Maria island into Tampa Bay, there was a lot of boat traffic there, both pleasure and commercial vessels. We cruised under the Bridge built to repllce the one hit by a ship in 1980. About 1;30 we arrived at the St Petersburg Municipal Marina where we tied up to the transient dock. We plan to stay here until Monday morning.
